Biography

Instrumental five-piece shoom emerged at the beginning of 2022, debuting in the Dutch alternative music scene with an intimate living room concert. Since then, the band has opened for legendary groups Battles and Ice Age, performed at ESNS thrice, and toured the Netherlands. In April 2025 they completed their first UK tour, headed to Denmark for SPOT festival, and in October they did a tour in the Balkans.
In a schizophrenic fever dream of subtle rhythms, loud swinging guitars, and poignant saxophone solos, shoom showcases influences from all corners of music: from black midi to Charlie Parker and from Clube Da Esquina to Talking Heads.
